The season for water activities is upon us. With
that in mind, we want to remind you of some of SFWP's nearby water facilities.
Two beautiful spots with developed campsites are Sly Creak Reservoir and Little
Grass Valley Lake. Sly Creek has one paved launch ramp and one cartop launch
ramp.
Little Grass Valley sitting at a 5,040 foot forested elevation, is served by five campgrounds with over 300 campsites and three paved launch ramps. Rainbow, Brook and Brown Trout fishing is good at both lakes, and swimming, picnicking, and hiking are also enjoyed.
With recent concerns about water contamination (MTBE's) in reservoirs, SFWP wanted its customers to know that SFWP has not experienced any MTBE contamination, nor do we anticipate any, due in large part, to the outstanding quality of our water source. However, to help preserve and enhance our watershed, the SFWP Board has instituted a few new restrictions. The follow list, explains how each of SFWP's reservoirs maybe used by the public:
